Born and raised in Maryland Laura Craig Mason has
spent most of her life some way entrenched in the
creative process. She studied ballet and dance
through her childhood, up until a knee injury in
college. It wasn't until the divorce of her parents
though, that she ever thought of writing. In middle
school and high school she worked with the creative
writing magazines, and once she dropped out of college
she started attending various poetry events.
Currently living in Germantown with her husband and 2
cats Laura reads at competes in several venues, runs
her web-site www.watrfae.com maintains an online
journal, and dabbles in photography when she has a
spare moment. Working by day at a Criminal Justice
library she finds fodder for her art; by night she
reads, sells self published chapbooks, and adheres to
the DIY (do it yourself) mentality.
Her most current
DIY projects are teaching herself knitting, and
putting together a zine for vegetarians on a
shoe-string budget.
